Jon is dedicated to crafting compelling visual narratives through his cinematography. His approach is deeply collaborative, ensuring that his work seamlessly integrates with the story, leaving a powerful and lasting impact on audiences.

Jon studied Cinematography at the National Film and Television School. His graduation films won awards including a BAFTA for Best Short Animation for Poles Apart and the student RTS Best Cinematography in Fiction award for Comeback Kid.

Shortly after graduation, he began work on his debut feature film, The Flood, Directed by Ant Woodley and distributed through Curzon Cinemas. From there, Jon's frequent collaboration with Lena Headey resulted in the critically acclaimed short film The Trap, earning a BAFTA nomination. Their success enabled them to produce a feature-length version, premiering at the Austin Film Festival last year. Jon recently won the BSC Best Short Film award for his work on Bookyville. 

Jon has also worked in TV teaming up with Sebastien Thiel to shoot the BBC comedy pilot Dreaming Whilst Black, which garnered great critical acclaim along with an Emmy nomination. He also photographed the pilot BAFTA-nominated Spud, for Director and Actress Siobhán McSweeney for Lookout Point & BBC3.

Throughout his career, Jon has worked with a diverse array of music artists and brands, including Ikea, Noel Gallagher, KSI, Audible, Kasabian, Nick Cave, Pale Waves, Dry Cleaning, and many others.
